to Benefit the SCPS Environmental Studies Center

Location:
The 5K starts at the Environmental Studies Center, runs behind the Center on the Cross Seminole Trail for 1.5K and back, then participants go “off road” for 1K and back on the scenic Osprey Trail.  We finish at the Environmental Studies Center with our traditional pancake breakfast, awards presentation, Open House and Nature Store.

Adults 18 & Up:
$25 through October 8*
$30 October 9 – October 13
$35 Day of Race (Cash or credit card only)
$20 for Sleep-In Option
Youth 17 & Under
$15 through October 8*
$20 October 9 – 13 and Day of Race

*Register by September 18th to ensure
t-shirt size.  For later registration, t-shirts will be available only while supplies last.

SCPS Employees:
$10 while spots are available.  Please register using SCPS employee registration option.

Sleep-In Option:
Want to contribute to this event but not interested in getting up early?  Participate in our "Sleep-In" option.  Register for the event by choosing the "Sleep-In" option and pick your t-shirt size.  The morning of the event you can stay snuggled in bed knowing you have contributed and will also get a t-shirt!

Early Packet Pick Up:
P
re-race packet pick up will be Friday, October 13 – that’s Friday the 13th, from 3:00PM – 7:00PM at the Environmental Studies Center, 2985 Osprey Trail, Longwood, FL 32750.  Across CR419 from Soldiers Creek Park ball fields.  Packets will also be available on race day starting at 7:00AM.

Pancake Breakfast:
All participants are invited to the Environmental Studies Center after their run to enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast.  Spectators are welcome to join in for a donation. Donations are always welcome!

Open House:
The Environmental Studies Center will be open to the public including the museum and nature store.

T-Shirts:
A
ll registered participants will receive an event day t-shirt.  Shirt sizes and availability not guaranteed for registrations after September 18th.

Timing:
T
his event will NOT be officially timed.  There will be a time clock at the start/finish line but no official results will be calculated.

Awards:
M
edals will be awarded at our pancake breakfast for the

Top 3 Female & Top 3 Male
who complete the run for each of the following:
• Elementary
• Middle School
• High School
• Adult

Traveling Trophy:
The Traveling Trophies will be awarded to the SCPS elementary, middle and high schools with the most participation (staff & students).

About this Event:
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Seminole County Environmental Studies Center.

Restrictions:
For safety reasons, in-line skates, skateboards, and dogs will not be allowed in the race.  Headphones are discouraged.  Baby-joggers and strollers will be allowed however are required to start at the back of the starting coral.

Parking:
Parking is available at Soldiers Creek Ball Fields across the street from the Environmental Studies Center.  There will be Sheriff’s Officers to assist in crossing over SR419 the morning of the event.
